I’m back !

After a couple great weeks cruising the Caribbean, I’m back in the saddle. However, I was thinking the whole time about some of the subjects I’ve been writing about and I have some new insights I want to post about crystal filters and characterizing crystals. The upshot is that I don’t think you need a frequency counter to match crystals, at least not a very good one. I think it can all be done with a test oscillator, your general coverage station receiver and some freely available PC software. I’ll be writing about this in more detail after I catch up on the backlog of necessities that need attending to and come up for air. Stay tuned…
